becky is pretty crafty

so i asked her to teach me how to make some pillows

for my couch.

she helped me with a couple

and then i went home and opened up my sewing machine

that my mom gave me for by birthday.

it took me awhile to thread the machine...

i had to watch the dvd that came with it!

and now i am finally finished..

i made seven total and

i love how they turned out!

also i have to keep bragging for a minute

because i got the deal of the century!

don't be jealous.

i have been searching for a new rug for my front room

but i didn't want to spend $200.

i was at target awhile ago and i found one on sale that i liked

and it was $80 -

so i decided to buy it.

i got up to the check out and the guy rang me up

and the rug was
$35!!

i couldn't believe my luck...

i asked him if he was sure and he just looked at me and shrugged his shoulders and said,

"that is what it rang up for, so take it!"

yay!

for the past three weeks i have been going to the rec center to work out - which is a big deal for me cause i am kinda lazy! close to every day i see this older couple, probably in their late seventies.  actually there are a lot of older people working out there which made me feel even more lazy, but thats not the point! today i was on the eliptical and i saw my favorite couple walk in. the husband got on the machine right next to me and his wife made her way to the track.   for the next 30 minutes i watched the husband keep a watchful eye on his wife and whenever she would pass him so they could see each other they would both wave! it was the cutest thing - every time she would pass him they would both wave like they had not seen each other five minutes ago!

kurt always laughs at me because old people usually make me sad...

 (one time when i was about 8 years old it was christmas time and my family was driving to my grandmas house. on the way we passed a house where i saw an old woman who was sitting by herself in here front room, and i automatically thought she was all alone and had no family.. ever since then old people make me sad!)

but i love my rec center couple, they made my day!

8 months!

i can not believe greta is eight months old today...

it breaks my heart that she is getting so old!

but this is such a fun age so i guess its ok.

what grets is doing at 8 months:

♥ so close to crawling but still getting around really fast with the army crawl

♥ loves to play with any sort of tag

the good and the bad



this poor girl is sick

coughing..

runny nose..

watery eyes..

...

she has been waking up the past two nights

screaming

and pulling at her ears

she is so congested at night

so she can't keep her bink in

which makes for waking up every hour

not good for me or her!

but thank goodness

she does not have an ear infection!

in other news

he got a promotion..

and is now a seasonal supervisor!

he will be a supervisor for the next few months

during the busy holiday season

it is only a seasonal position

but hopefully it will lead to something permanent in that area

yay!

read these books

 i know pretty much EVERYONE has read these books

.....



so i caved and read them too..

loved all three!

i read them all in about a week

and was so sad when i finished.

the first book was definitely my fave,

and i know a lot of people didn't like

mockingjay but i thought it was a good ending

considering everything that happened.

these books are so much better than twilight!

WAY better writing and more suspense.

now what should i read?

it seems like all of the sudden they just appeared

she has been a bit fussy

but nothing too bad...

and then a couple days ago

kurt was feeding her and said

"uh i think she has a tooth!"

i couldn't believe it, so i called to tell my mom

and chloe was there and said

"oh yeah, i saw it yesterday"

so little grets is growing up

she is now 7.5 months and is

sitting up

crawling

eating food

speaking in full sentences

reading at a 2nd grade level

...

kurt and i are really proud of her!

greta was blessed on june 6 - it was a perfect day

kurt gave her a beautiful blessing and she only cried through half of it!!

we had a lunceon at my parents house afterwards and we were so happy our

friends and family came despite how HOT it was!

she was a little bit nervous for her big day...

the timing of this day was unfortunate for me...
