christmas 2010

can you believe the big day has come and gone already? 

this year was a fun one for us, christmas is much more exciting when there
 are happy kids around -

especially when you have one of your own!

grets is at the age where she is not quite sure what is going on,

but if the people around her are excited, so is she!

we spent christmas morning at my parents house..

opening presents and enjoying my dad's delicious breakfast

we had to get a picture of greta by our tree before going to my parents

grets was a big fan of chewing on the wrapping paper

this is an obnoxious photo of me..

but i had to share it because grets is in LOVE with her elmo

later on we went to the goodmans for more presents and fun

there really is nothing better than being with family

..10 months..

yes, my cute baby is 10 months old...
so bittersweet.
to celebrate she did some shopping and went out to dinner,
she has the life!

at 10 months greta is:

crawling so fast
standing up on everything
waving good bye
loves to eat mashed potatoes
loves apple juice
obsessed with books
not so obsessed with her binki anymore
clapping all the time
is so cute, so happy and the best baby ever!

i have been searching for months for the perfect entryway table ...

i have looked on ksl, been to di, scoured the internet

and finally i found the perfect one!

a company in salt lake makes any kind of furniture, and i bought mine unfinished

because i had to make sure it was the perfect color of yellow!

we picked it up last week and painted, stained, distressed, and finished our masterpiece

and i love how it turned out!

she was so excited,

because after 6 long hours they took her iv out

and she could sit up and play.

thanksgiving 2010

can you believe thanksgiving has come and gone?

we had a fun day..

the keetch's hosted a lovely dinner

and we played a very intense game of bingo.

i am so grateful for these two..

they are my life!

we had a scary experience on tuesday..

one that made me realize how fast life can change.

to make a looong story short,

i took greta to her 9 month check up on monday

and everything was great + normal.

i told the doc she has not been wanting to eat lately

but we did not really talk much more about it.

throughout that day she was very sleepy and not really wanting to eat.

come tuesday i went to work early that morning

and talked to kurt around 9am.

he said grets was still asleep but he was checking on her and she was fine.

an hour or so later he felt like he should wake her up

and when he did she was not acting like herself.

she was very lethargic and not really responsive.

around this time i was getting ready to leave work

and kurt called and was panicked and said

she was not acting normal.

i am so thankful kurt called

911 when he did

and that he was calm and knew what to do -

because i know that i would have been hysterical!

when i got home the ambulance and fire truck were at my house.

i walked in and my poor baby did not look like herself.

the emt's said she had very low blood sugar so

we took her to the hospital and for the next 6 hours

they checked her and did many tests.

fortunately, everything came back normal

but she is still not back to her old self

and still does not have an appetite

so if anyone has any advice on how to get her to eat

i would greatly appreciate it!
