i know it has been a few days
but i am still obsessing over oprah
and her 2nd favorite things episode..
how come all her favorite things
are my favorite things too?
here are a few things she gave away
and with the exception of the vw beetle
i have at one point wanted everything on this list!!

after her tough day

she still managed a smile for us!

she was so excited,

because after 6 long hours they took her iv out

and she could sit up and play.

thanksgiving 2010

can you believe thanksgiving has come and gone?

we had a fun day..

the keetch's hosted a lovely dinner

and we played a very intense game of bingo.

i am so grateful for these two..

they are my life!

we had a scary experience on tuesday..

one that made me realize how fast life can change.

to make a looong story short,

i took greta to her 9 month check up on monday

and everything was great + normal.

i told the doc she has not been wanting to eat lately

but we did not really talk much more about it.

throughout that day she was very sleepy and not really wanting to eat.

come tuesday i went to work early that morning

and talked to kurt around 9am.

he said grets was still asleep but he was checking on her and she was fine.

an hour or so later he felt like he should wake her up

and when he did she was not acting like herself.

she was very lethargic and not really responsive.

around this time i was getting ready to leave work

and kurt called and was panicked and said

she was not acting normal.

i am so thankful kurt called

911 when he did

and that he was calm and knew what to do -

because i know that i would have been hysterical!

when i got home the ambulance and fire truck were at my house.

i walked in and my poor baby did not look like herself.

the emt's said she had very low blood sugar so

we took her to the hospital and for the next 6 hours

they checked her and did many tests.

fortunately, everything came back normal

but she is still not back to her old self

and still does not have an appetite

so if anyone has any advice on how to get her to eat

i would greatly appreciate it!

we hope you all had a fun and safe thanksgiving!

i just watched oprah's favorite things episode..

if only i could have been there!!

the audience was so hysterical

it was a little pathetic..

they actually had paramedics standing by!

one woman was sweating profusely from jumping and screaming so much!

how can it be that my baby is 9 months old?!

why is it that the 9 long months of pregnancy drags on and on...

but the 9 months she has been with us have flown by?

time is a funny thing!

greta is crawling like a mad woman

and pulling herself up on everything.

she loves to scream at the top of her lungs -

especially in crowded, pulic places.

she has yet to learn to say anything else besides da da

and she loves to eat + chew + suck on anything in sight!

she is the best baby and we love her!

how cute is she!

they had just returned from visiting me at work

and she feel asleep on the way home.

i rarely put bows on grets..

maybe like once a week.

i just don't think because a baby is a girl she should have

to wear a bow everyday!

right?

 this is a good way to get her to sleep though!

but maybe the lack of bow is why she gets called a "he" or a "him"

on a regular basis?

annoying!

just some advice for people out there..

if you are not sure if a baby is a boy or a girl,

(even though the pink striped shirt they are wearing should be an obvious clue)

you could say:

"what a cute baby!"

instead of:

"he is so cute!"

because then it gets to the awkward point where i have to

correct you and say

"oh, she is a girl!"

grets had so much fun on her first halloween!

i think she was the cutest ladybug around..

we had our annual party at my parents house

and afterwards went over to the goodmans.
